L’approche du Cercle des sirènes est fondée sur un solide corpus de recherches interdisciplinaires couvrant la psychologie, la théorie féministe, la guérison des traumatismes et les pratiques somatiques. Cette collection d’études évaluées par des pairs, de rapports institutionnels et d’examens cliniques soutient l’efficacité de l’autodéfense d’émancipation en tant que moyen pour réduire la peur, renforcer la confiance et favoriser la résilience chez les femmes et les filles. Ces références reflètent également l’engagement du programme en faveur d’une pratique fondée sur des données probantes – un élément essentiel pour la transparence, l’appui et la mobilisation des tous les acteurs de la société.
